Freedom Boat Club heads down under
Saturday Jun 17, 2023
Saturday Jun 17, 2023
In this episode I'm excited to speak with David Kurczewski, the General Manager Shared Services Asia-Pacific, at Freedom Boat Club with a special Australia First announcement.
Imagine taking the afternoon off and being able to step onto a boat at one of 5 new locations in Australia, enjoy the glassy waters and the afternoon sun before pulling back into the marina without another thought.
That is the freedom, The Freedom Boat Club provides across its' Global Franchise Network that spans 385+ locations around the world. Enabling members to go boating wherever there is a club when travelling. Spend the day cruising and enjoy access to various types of boats and onboard training without the hassle of maintenance, berthing costs or cleaning.
David shares with me his journey into the world of boating and his experiences that have continued to see The Freedom Boat Club grow, acquiring more boats every year to expand the options available to its' members. Freedom now has more than 5000 boats available to it’s members. What excites me most about bringing this brand to Australia is that in the US some 40% of members are female and I think the training provided on joining (including your boat licence if you need one here in Australia) and the fun events within the community are part of what attracts women to boating in this model. Given that’s what the Boat Princess is all about the alignment of this brand with ours makes massive sense.
Follow our clubs on Instagram or Facebook at @fbcsydneynorth and @fbchunter, call us on 02 9457 2000 or email us on curious@freedomboatclub.com
Or if you want to see more on a website you can visit, www.freedomboatclub.au
make sure you let them know The Boat Princess sent you so we can sort a special gift when you join :) x

In this episode I chat with the owner of Chapman Yachting, Debbie Leenderts. They are renowned for being the most revolutionary and customer-centric yacht hire agency Sydney has to offer. Luxury boats and super yachts are the vessel through which valuable relationships and personally-tailored experiences are created.

This conversation is an intimate look at 'behind the scenes' events in the marine industry allowing guests and owners to enjoy their water crafts and the unique Australian water ways.
Once again, I hope you enjoy this inspiring story of 'Women in Boating' as I share with you the endless opportunities that exist.

Steering the Boating Industry in a Different Direction with Unique Designs
Saturday Mar 25, 2023
Saturday Mar 25, 2023
After finding her love of design at the tender age of 7, Sarah declared to her parents she wanted to be an interior 'disaster' instead of a 'designer'. The mid 90's had her obsessed with the TV Changing Rooms and the excitement of a revealing a new and designer space. And now with her art and design diploma from University and a degree from the School of Art in Textile and Design, her attention was hijacked by Boats.
Sarah now works at Setag, with a full life and travel under her belt, she thrives in a team environment, creating and designing the beautiful interiors you see in the line.
Sarah has a focus on sustainability - taking plastics collected from the oceans and plastics weaved into the furnishings, the design leaves clients with a feel good sense of contributing to the recycling of wastes and well as thrilling them in bringing their older boat back to life and up to date with modern design.
With modern day luxuries, clients can rely on Sarah to collaborate and create what they always wanted.

The waves of change just keep coming with Nicole WATTS from Maritime NSW
Saturday Jan 28, 2023
Saturday Jan 28, 2023
I'm going to preface this episode with a warning: This woman is unstoppable and together with her team and tenacity have brought you the changes and customer experiences that NSW has seen in government over the last few years.
Nicole Watts, Director of NSW Maritime, has her feet firmly in the waters, looking to the future of our shoreline. With her extensive career in leadership and change management, a young family and charisma, you can't help but be inspired.
Nicole thrives on getting it better, not just right. She has overseen the customer service journey at Service NSW, spent a year with Apple Australia and travelled extensively on her days off from her roles at Qantas during the pandemic, taking and making opportunities.
This interview was awe inspiring for me, demonstrating the transition of skills and ability into Marine Industry she inadvertently started in whilst working on Cruise Ships during her early life. She has an open invitation to come back onto the series.
